The Tory record: Half a million more unemployed

http://www.thestar.com/business/article/691604

Nearly 500,000 more Canadians will be unemployed this Labour Day than last, and while economists say the recession is over, job losses are expected to continue well into next year, and many of those who lost their jobs don't qualify for Employment Insurance.

Canadians deserve better, and we can do better.

Harper's "Better Off With Harper" ads from the last campaign probably aren't going to resonate positively with many of these people.

In fact, if Canadians really took a second and seriously looked at the abusive ad campaigns that the Conservatives have put out over the last 4 years, they would likely shake their heads in disgust.

500,000 people losing their jobs and Harper & Co. are too busy insulting our collective intelligence with stupid commercials.

So much for "standing up for Canada"

Maybe the Liberal's slogan for this campaign should be . . . "Waking up for Canada".
